Our Story

Radha Govinda International began as a small initiative of the Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad. Our founders were deeply passionate about sharing their love for India’s rich spiritual heritage and wished to create meaningful opportunities for others to experience it firsthand.

As we began planning our first yatra (pilgrimage), we quickly realized a growing need for authentic spiritual tourism. People from across the world were seeking a deeper connection with the divine and a way to reconnect with their culture, roots, and ancestry.

What started with just a few sacred destinations and a small group of devotees soon gained momentum through word of mouth. Over time, Radha Govinda International grew in popularity and reach. Today, we offer thoughtfully curated spiritual tours to some of the most sacred and breathtaking destinations in the world, guided by experienced mentors dedicated to helping participants achieve their spiritual aspirations.

Our Inspiration-Srila Prabhupada

Srila Prabhupada has been described as a scholar, philosopher, cultural ambassador, prolific author, religious leader, spiritual teacher, social critic, and holy man, among many other things. He was every single one of those things and more besides.
Lord Sri Krishna made an appearance as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the West Bengali village of Navadvipa more than 500 years ago. His appearance marked the beginning of the Sankirtana Movement, the Yuga Dharma for the Kali Yuga. He predicted that the recitation of His holy names would eventually reach every city and town on Earth. He foretold that His supreme leader would materialize to complete the task.
Yes… Srila Prabhupada came to prove this prophecy true.
A male child was born on September 1, 1896, in a small house in the Tollygunge neighborhood of Calcutta, the day after Janmashtami (the holy appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna). Abhay Charan was the son of Gour Mohan De and Rajani (one who is fearless – having taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna).
This child will cross the ocean at the age of seventy, become a great religious teacher, and find 108 Krishna temples, according to the horoscope prepared by an astrologer.
Indeed, that’s precisely what transpired.
In 1965, at the age of 69, Srila Prabhupada traveled to the United States to found the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. He circumnavigated the globe fourteen times, built more than a hundred Krishna temples, and brought Krishna consciousness to more than 10,000 people.

We had an excellent and uneventful trip to Char Dham yatra by helicopter, which Punya Kshetras had extremely well organised and arranged. They responded quickly to my emails and addressed my concerns while planning our trip. Given the difficult roads we had to navigate, having a good driver was critical - the journey was excellent and marvellous in terms of keeping us safe. The sadhus acted as our guides, and we are glad we chose them because they did an excellent job of explaining everything in detail. Punya Kshetras chose some of the best hotels for us to stay in (many of them right on the banks of beautiful rivers), and the majority of the hotel staff were extremely helpful.

Punya kshetras did a wonderful job of planning and arranging our journey to Char Dham Yatra by helicopter , and it went without a hitch. While planning the vacation for us, they were quite swift in responding to my emails and taking care of my worries. Having a professional driver was crucial given the challenging roads we had to travel on; the journey did a fantastic job of keeping us safe. The sadhus themselves served as our guides, and we are happy that we decided to do so because they did a fantastic job thoroughly explaining everything. Most of the hotels' staff members were very helpful, and Punya Kshetras picked some of the best ones for us to stay at (several of them right on the river banks).
